The BJV180Z features a Makita-built high-torque motor that produces a 1-inch stroke and 2,600 strokes per minute (SPM) for fast and efficient cutting. In addition, the BJV180Z has lower vibration and less noise for more control and comfort. The BJV180Z has four position cut settings (three orbital and one straight) for fast and efficient cutting in all applications, and the "tool-less" push-in lock system for quick blade changes. The Makita BJV180 cordless jig saw is perfect for cutting wood or steel. Priced approximately at $400, you get a very powerful and flexible power tool in your hands. It has a maximum cutting capacity of 5 5/16 inch for wood material and 3/8 inch for steel, which is very good for a cordless jig saw. It runs at approximately 2,600 strokes per minute as well. But that’s not all there is to it. Along with its power comes other features, which will make your work that much easier.
The LXT lithium ion battery can be fully recharged in less than 30 minutes plus, the battery has 16 terminals so that the jig saw runs at full power all the time. The Makita BJV180 jig saw also features a push in lock mechanism for the blade allowing faster and easier blade replacement. It also has an integrated dust blower, so that it won’t get in your cutting line or disrupt your work. Lastly, it features built-in LED lights, so that your working line is always illuminated.
